VIDEO SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
DURATION
Each Catwalk should last up to 55 seconds. During that time, one or many models can present ONE product via a Video Clip. Each Designer or Brand can present up to 25 products so you need to record up to 25 clips of 55 seconds each. You can submit up to 5 Separate VIDEOS, each video should combine up to 5 clips in the order that you would like your designs to be showcased.
FORMAT
Videos must be submitted in one of the following formats: MP4, MOV, AVI. Videos should be minimum 720 HD (1280 x 720), preferably 1080p HD (1920 x 1080) in NTSC. Video files must be a maximum of 5GB
DESIGNER INTRODUCTION
With the world exploring your designs, it is important to introduce yourself and show your customers who is behind those beautiful creations.
The Intro Video Clip should be 55 seconds maximum and cover 3 essential points:
1- What is your Name? Where are you located? What led you to become a Fashion Designer? How long have you been designing?
2- What do you design? Who are your designs for? What makes your designs unique?
3- What is your mission? What impact do you see your designs having on your customers and on the world?
PERMISSION
Please ensure that you have secured written permissions from anyone shown and heard in your video, as well as all music, voices and images which require licensing. Videos containing music, voices or images without proper permission cannot be broadcast through i3f.
TIPS
1. Choose an appropriate background for your fashion show. You may use a traditional runway stage with or without an audience. Alternative settings are also acceptable, including indoor and outdoor locations. Backgrounds should be subtle and uncluttered to ensure that the focus remains on the presented designs.
2. Use adequate lighting. When indoors, make sure your models are well spotlighted. Outdoor settings can use natural light but be cautious of glare and washout from bright sunlight. Also ensure that the background presents a good contrast to the models. Dark clothing on a dark background will be difficult to see in a virtual show. Be aware of sky, windows, bright walls and lights in the background which can lead to poor visual quality.
3. Use a tripod or other solid camera support. Hand-held cameras may lead to shaky, unsteady, or inconsistent footage.
4. If possible film with 2-3 cameras, simulating the effect of watching a live show viewing from different angles.
SUBMIT VIDEO
Upon receipt of your payment, i3f will email you a form to upload your materials and videos.
Catwalks will be scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis, so we recommend to submit your videos as son as you are able to.
Because the Festival is ongoing between November 20 - December 22, you can submit your videos Anytime Before or During those dates.
You can either submit all the 5 videos at the same time, or one video after the other.
Please note that, your video will be scheduled to showcase 3-7 days after it is submitted, so plan accordingly.
